We’re seeking a detail-oriented Asbestos Surveyor to join a fast-growing environmental consultancy operating across Boston. This role involves conducting asbestos surveys, risk assessments, and report writing for a mix of commercial, residential, and municipal properties.
Whether it’s pre-demolition inspections, industrial site surveys, or ongoing compliance audits, you’ll be essential to our health & safety operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct asbestos management and refurbishment/demolition surveys (in line with AHERA, NESHAP & Massachusetts regulations).
- Collect bulk samples, assess material conditions, and produce accurate survey reports.
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure safe remediation plans.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and comply with federal and state guidelines.
- Travel across sites in the Boston area (company vehicle provided).
Requirements:
- EPA/AHERA-certified Building Inspector (mandatory).
- 2+ years’ experience conducting asbestos surveys in commercial or public sector buildings.
- Familiarity with MA DEP regulations and OSHA asbestos standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and flexibility to travel locally.
