Summary

A leading environmental consulting firm based in Los Angeles is seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering technical solutions for site assessments, remediation projects, and environmental compliance supporting various infrastructure and development projects across Southern California.


Responsibilities of the role

- Conduct geotechnical and environmental site assessments, including soil and groundwater sampling and analysis.

- Develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated sites in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

- Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions for clients and government agencies.

- Collaborate with project managers, environmental scientists, and regulatory bodies to ensure project milestones and quality standards are met.

- Provide expert advice on environmental risk, site development, and permitting processes.

- Manage field investigations, coordinate subcontractors, and oversee laboratory testing.

- Support business development activities including proposal preparation and client presentations.


About you

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.

- Professional Engineering (PE) license or progress towards licensure is highly desirable.

- Strong knowledge of California environmental regulations such as DTSC, RWQCB, and OSHA standards.

- Experience with soil and groundwater contamination assessment and remediation technologies.

- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Prior experience working on capital projects or infrastructure developments is a plus.
