We’re looking for a Structural Project Engineer with a strong background in vertical construction to join a leading Denver-based construction consultancy. This is a key role bridging the design and execution phases — ideal for someone with technical expertise, on-site experience, and a knack for solving structural challenges in real time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to interpret project requirements and constraints
- Perform structural analysis, design reviews, and site inspections for mid- to high-rise commercial and residential buildings
- Ensure construction methods and materials comply with engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations
- Assist project managers with technical planning, RFI responses, and on-site problem solving
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation
- Support structural design modifications during construction based on field conditions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 4+ years’ experience in structural engineering within the construction industry
- PE (Professional Engineer) license or working toward licensure
- Proficiency in structural software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, Revit, AutoCAD)
- Familiarity with local Denver and Colorado building codes and permit processes
- Strong communication skills for client and contractor interaction
- Ability to work independently on multiple active construction projects
