Responsibilities of the role
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to patient needs and goals.
Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve patient communication and swallowing function.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Document patient progress and prepare detailed reports for clinical records and insurance purposes.
Participate in patient and family education to support ongoing therapy and rehabilitation.
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.
About you
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or related qualification required.
Valid state licensure or certification (e.g., CCC-SLP from ASHA) required.
Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and adults.
Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
Experience in hospital, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings preferred.
