We’re looking for a talented Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team focused on environmental impact assessments, soil and groundwater remediation, and sustainable land development across the Gulf Coast region.
In this role, you’ll apply your expertise in geology, hydrology, and environmental engineering to design and implement solutions addressing contamination, erosion, and flood risk challenges — helping to protect communities and ecosystems in and around New Orleans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site investigations and environmental assessments including soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling
- Design and oversee remediation projects for contaminated sites, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations
- Collaborate with civil engineers and environmental scientists to develop sustainable land use and stormwater management plans
- Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions
- Support client communication and manage project timelines and budgets
- Use GIS and modeling software to analyze geotechnical and environmental data
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in geo-environmental site assessments and remediation projects
- Strong knowledge of EPA, state environmental regulations, and best practices
- Proficiency with GIS tools (ArcGIS preferred) and data analysis software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for reporting and client interactions
