Salary: $80k-$120k/year base + commission ($150k/year OTE)

About the Role

The Used Equipment Manager will appraise potential trade-ins and purchases of used equipment, optimize retail and wholesale sales channels, and lead a small team of Inside Sales Representatives. You’ll develop relationships with wholesalers, dealers, and brokers, ensuring efficient inventory turns and profitability targets are achieved.

This role also plays a key part in supporting marketing and digital advertising initiatives related to used equipment and maintaining a database of potential buyers through market intelligence and data insights.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop Inside Sales Representatives.

  • Appraise all potential incoming trades and stay current on market conditions.

  • Oversee used equipment wholesale sales and relationships with wholesalers to meet turn and margin goals.

  • Track and report on competitive activities and pricing trends.

  • Prepare monthly reports on inventory aging, pricing, and profitability.

  • Collaborate with management to achieve used equipment profitability and inventory goals.

  • Maintain accurate used equipment listings for the company website.

  • Support the retail sales team with training on used equipment evaluations.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and identify new business opportunities.

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience.


About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3–5 years’ experience in used large machinery sales or remarketing (agricultural equipment preferred).

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience, including team training and development.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both B2C and B2B).

  • Strong knowledge of finance programs and the economics driving farm operations.

  • Farming background desirable, with hands-on experience using or adjusting farm equipment.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with CLAAS products and retail finance processes is an advantage.
